SHREWSBURY FILM

Winter 2023

We were delighted to have been awarded a grant from Film Hub Midlands to show 6 films from the BFI's latest decennial poll of the greatest 100 films of all time.

As you can imagine, we have already shown a healthy percentage of these films, but there are still some gems to be found.

A satirical, surreal and irreverent story of rebellion by two young women who decide to attack all they see as wrong with the stifling Czech society of the 1960s. Impossible to classify, this film continues to amaze, amuse and provoke audiences over 50 years on.

La Jetée
